    Notes: Zusammenfassung Mit elektrischen Wellen von 78 m Länge wird die Laufzeit des Echos von derE-Schicht gemessen. Die Höhe dieser Schicht nimmt in den Morgenstunden zu, was sich durch das Entstehen der niedrigeren D-Schicht erklären läßt. DieseD-Schicht muß aber ein ziemlich breites Ionisationsmaximum besitzen, denn nur so läßt sich die scheinbare Wegverlängerung und die wachsende Absorption erklären, die man bei Annäherung an die kritische Frequenz (140 m) dieser Schicht beobachtet.
