Notes: The multi-axial constitutive behavior of poled and unpoled ferroelectric ceramic PZT53is measured under different proportional tension-torsion loading and compression-torsion loadinguntil destroy. Deformation is measured using strain gauges. These results are used to map out“Switching” and “destroy” surfaces. The two surfaces are found to be a function of the polarization.Switching surface is similar to Mises and Tresca yield surface. Destroy behavior corresponds tomaximal principal normal stress rule. For poled PZT53, the effect of bias electric field on itsmultiaxial behavior has also been exploited. The results indicated that the “Switching” surfacedisappear with the increased bias electric. The ultimate goal is to develop an experimentallyvalidated micromechanics based phenomenological constitutive model for ferroelectric materials

Notes: Notched tensile tests were performed to evaluate the presence of notch on the tensilestrength of Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn laser welds, which were post-weld aged at different temperatures.Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn laser welds showed notch brittleness except for the welds aged at/above 704 oC. Fineacicular α uniformly distributed in β matrix in the fusion zone accounted for the high hardness (Hv440) as compared with mill-annealed base metal. Overaging at/above 704 oC resulted in coarseningthe microstructures and decreased notch brittleness. The fracture features of the weld were stronglyaffected by the orientation of the solidified structures with respect to the crack growth direction

Notes: Vacuum repair brazing of Inconel 939 using various ratios of DF3 and Rene 80 powdermixtures has been performed in this study. The porosity of the brazed zone is decreased as theamount of DF3 is increased in the powder mixture. At least four phases are observed in the brazedzone including chromium borides, sparse carbides, Ni-rich matrix and eutectic phases. Primarychromium borides are widely observed at the early stage of repair brazing. Dissolution of the Nifrom the Rene 80 powder into the molten braze results in isothermal solidification of the residualmelt. The chemical composition of the residual melt subsequently moves towards the lowesteutectic temperature, and the eutectic is finally formed in brazing. The oxidation resistance test isperformed at 1000oC. Extensive spalling of the oxide film begins at 144 h, and catastrophic failureof the oxide film is observed at 1272 h. The oxidation resistance of the brazed zone is significantlydegraded due to the formation of chromium borides in the brazed zone

Notes: The development of a novel amphibian walking robot prototype is proposed according tothe need of duty under bad circumstance. It can be used as the carrier of the reconnaissanceequipment, the weapon system and the communication system, and complete many kinds ofmissions in the place near the sea and tideland which a man can not complete. Some new dynamicsquestions is introduced because of multi-leg structure features and functionality of the amphibious. The integrated approach of series parallel is proposed to solve the characteristic that swing andsupporting phase are appeared respectively during walking. Hydrodynamic effect is also consideredin our dynamics equation. At last, the least distribution model of driving moment and drivingenergy of robot are set up in this paper. These conclusions have very important effects to the controlof robots
