    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Stärke der Si−Si-Bindung ändert sich mit den am Silicium vorhandenen Substituenten. Es wird gezeigt, daß die Kraftkonstante der Si−Si-Bindung in einem DisilanX 3SiSiX 3 mit steigender Kraftkonstante der SiH-Bindung im korrespondierendenX 3SiH ansteigt. Ebenso verläuft der Gang der KopplungskonstantenJ(29Si−H). Ausnahmen mit höher liegender Si−Si-Kraftkonstante bilden Disilane mit starker d π p π-Wechselwirkung von den Substituenten.
    Notes: Abstract The strength of the Si−Si-bond in disilanes varies with the substituents of silicon. It is shown, that the increase of the Si−Si stretching force constant inX 3SiSiX 3 parallels an increase of the SiH-stretching force constant in the correspondingX 3SiH-compound. The coupling constantJ(29SiH) alters in a similar manner. Exceptions are found in same disilanes with strong d π p π-interactions from the substituents.

    Notes: Abstract The preparation of the formerly unknown compounds (CH3COO)3SiH and (CF3COO)3SiH is described, their vibrational and NMR-spectra are reported. Some extreme values of the latter compound are discussed.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Pentaphenylcyclopentasilane Si5(C6H5)10 reacts with HJ to give pentaphenylpentaiodocyclopentasilane, Si5(C6H5)5J5, in which by means of suitable reagents the iodine atoms can be replaced by H, CH3, C4H9 and OCH3. Preparation and properties of these cyclosilanes are described. The coupling constantsJ (29SiH), the SiH-stretching frequency ν SiH and the chemical properties suggest a weakening of the SiH-bond, which can be explained by an increased electron density in the Si5-ring.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Aus dem aus Si5(C6H5)10 mit HJ herstellbaren Pentaphenylpentajodpentacyclosilan Si5(C6H5)5J5 lassen sich eine Reihe von Derivaten Si5(C6H5)5X5 mit X=H,me, bu und Ome synthetisieren. Darstellung und Eigenschaften dieser Cyclosilane werden beschrieben. Aus der KopplungskonstanteJ (29SiH), ν SiH und den chemischen Eigenschaften von Si5(C6H5)5H5 ersieht man eine Schwächung der Si−H-Bindung, die durch eine erhöhte Elektronendichte im Si5-Ring erklärt werden kann.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Careful fluorination of (SiCl) n -or (SiBr) n -layers with SbF3 yields (SiF) n . LiAlH4 reacts with (SiBr) n to (SiH) n . The properties of these two new compounds are described.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Aus schichtförmig gebauten (SiCl) n bzw. (SiBr) n läßt sich durch vorsichtige Fluorierung mit SbF3 das entsprechende (SiF) n herstellen. Durch Hydrierung von (SiBr) n mit LiAlH4 entsteht (SiH) n . Die Eigenschaften der beiden neuen Verbindungen werden beschrieben.

Deuteriumsubstitution der Methoxygruppen dient zur Erkennung von Schwingungskopplungen und liefert Zusatzinformationen für eine Normalkoordinatenanalyse an Si2(Ome)6. Die SiSi-Valenzkraftkonstante nimmt ausgehend von Si2 me 6 mit steigender Anzahl dermeO-Gruppen zu und erreicht in Si2(Ome)6 einen Wert von 2,25 mdyn/Å.
    Notes: Abstract The infrared and Raman spectra of the methylmethoxydisilanesI–IV and of Si2(Ome)6 [me=CH3] were reported and assigned. CD3O-substitution elucidated vibrational couplings and supplied additional data for a normal coordinate analysis of Si2(Ome)6. The SiSi-stretching force constant increases with increasing number ofmeO-substituents and amounts to 2.25 mdyn/Å in Si2(Ome)6.

    Notes: Abstract 4-Hydroxycoumarin and dimedone, two carbonyl compounds, which are known to form enoles readily, are treated with trimethylchlorosilane in the presence of triethylamine to give their hitherto unknown trimethylsilyl derivatives. A solvent-dependent, reversible migration of the trimethylsilyl group was observed by means of1H-NMR-spectroscopy.
