Summary Since several naphtholsulfonic acids produce like colored solutions in the condensation with 4-aminoantipyrin, attempts were made to separate the colored compounds formed in the reaction by a paper chromatographic method, and to distinguish between them on the basis of their differentR f -values.

Résumé Etant donné qu'il se forme, dans le cas de la condensation de plusieurs acides naphtol-sulfoniques par l'amino-4 antipyrine, des solutions de même couleur, on a étudié la séparation par chromatographie sur papier des composés colorés se formant au cours de la réaction et leur distinction au moyen de leurs valeurs différentes duR f .

Zusammenfassung Da bei der Kondensation mit 4-Aminoantipyrin mehrere Naphtholsulfosäuren gleichgefärbte Lösungen bilden, wurde versucht, die bei der Reaktion gebildeten gefärbten Verbindungen auf papierchromatographischem Wege zu trennen und sie an Hand ihrer verschiedenenR f -Werte zu unterscheiden.
