In the course of experiments on the crystal growth of ZrO2 from molten solutions, in the quasiternary system ZrO2—Li2MoO4—4 MoO3 single crystals of the ternary oxide ZrO2 · 2 MoO3 as the primarily stable phase have been obtained. Results on the crystal morphology, thermal behaviour, and unit cell parameters are communicated.

Bei Züchtungsversuchen aus Schmelzlösungen des Systems ZrO2—Li2MoO4—4 MoO3 wurden Kristalle des ternären Oxids ZrO2 · 2 MoO3 als primär stabile Phase erhalten. Die Ergebnisse morphologischer, thermischer und röntgenographischer Untersuchungen über die Kristallart werden mitgeteilt.
