    Notes: Novel Triterpene Lactones of Helenium autumnale L.Three novel triterpene lactones 1-3 could be detected by investigating a pentane extraxt of the Helenium autumnale L. (Asteraceae) roots. The structures are especially elucidated by 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The lactones 1-3 formally represent Diels-Alder products of a reaction between a sesquiterpene lactone and an α,β-unsaturated sequiterpene aldehyde.

    Description / Table of Contents: Novel Bissesquiterpene Lactones from Helenium autumnale L.In an n-pentane extract of Helenium autumnale L. (Asteraceae) roots could be detected two novel bissesquiterpene lactones 1 and 2, which formally are products of a Diels-Alder reaction. The structures are especially elucidated at partial-synthesized molecule parts by 1H,1H-shift-correlated 2D-NMR spectroscopy. By a Diels-Alder reaction 1 can be synthesized from isoalantolactone (3) and zingiberene (4).
    Notes: Eine Untersuchung des n-Pentan-Extraktes der Wurzeln von Helenium autumnale L. (Asteraceae) ergibt zwei neuartige Bissesquiterpenlactone 1 und 2, die formal als Diels-Alder-Produkte aufgefaßt werden können. Die Strukturen werden insbesondere durch 1H,1H-Shift-korrelierte 2D-NMR-Spektroskopie an partialsynthetisierten Molekülteilen geklärt. 1 kann durch Diels-Alder-Reaktion von Isoalantolacton (3) mit Zingiberen (4) synthetisiert werden.
