On the Preparation and Some Properties of Indium(III) CarboxylatesVarious indium(III) carboxylates In(RCOO)3 (R = H, CH3, C2H5, n—C3H7, (CH3)2CH, (CH3)3C) have been prepared by reaction either of metallic Indium or of (CH3)3In with the appropriate anhydrous carboxylic acids; some properties of the compounds have been investigated. Based mainly on IR-spectra the existence of coordination number 8 at the central atom In is discussed.

Verschiedene Indium(III)-carboxylate In(RCOO)3 (R = H, CH3, C2H5, n—C3H7, (CH3)2CH, (CH3)3C) wurden durch Umsetzung sowohl von metallischem Indium als auch von (CH3)3 In mit den entsprechenden wasserfreien Carbonsäuren dargestellt; einige Eigenschaften der Verbindungen wurden untersucht. Insbesondere auf Grund der IR-Spektren wird das Auftreten der Koordinationszahl 8 am Zentralatom In diskutiert.
