The Problem of the C—S Vibration in Trifluoromethane Sulfonates. Structural Investigations of H3NOH+CF3SO3-Single crystals of NH4CF3SO3, the crystal structure of which is known, made it possible to get polarised i.r. vibrational spectra of the CF3SO3 group for the first time. Therefore the classes of the vibrational bands could be determined undoubtedly.The Hydroxylammonium salt of the Trifluoromethane sulfonic acid was prepared and investigated by X-ray diffraction and spectroscopical methods.

Mit Hilfe von Einkristallen der Verbindung NH4CF3SO3, deren Kristallstruktur bekannt ist, gelingt es erstmals, polarisierte IR-Schwingungsspektren der CF3SO3-Baugruppe zu erhalten. Damit konnte die Rassezugehörigkeit der einzelnen Schwingungen eindeutig bestimmt werden.Hydroxylammoniumtrifluormethylsulfonat wurde dargestellt und röntgenographisch und spektroskopisch untersucht.
