    Description / Table of Contents: Chemistry of Silicon-nitrogen Compounds, IC. The Sevenmembered Silicon-nitrogen Structural Units of 1,5-Bis[(di)alkylamino]-octamethyl-trisildiazanesReaction of 1,5-dichlorooctamethyltrisildiazane with amines gives the 1,5-bis[(di)alkylamino]-octamethyl-trisildiazanes 1-7. The compounds can be transformed by shortening of the sevenmembered SiN chain to the permethylated cyclotrisilazanes 8-10 with varied substituents in position 2 or by extension of the SiN chain to permethylated cyclotetrasilazane 11 with varied substituents in position 1,2 and 8. In an analogous way, the novel inorganic eightmembered ring of phosphatrisilatetrazacyclooctane (12) has been prepared.
    Notes: Die Reaktion von 1.5-Dichlor-oktamethyl-trisildiazan mit Aminen führt zu den 1.5-Bis[(di)-alkylamino]-oktamethyl-trisildiazanen 1-7. Diese lassen sich unter Verkürzung der sieben-gliedrigen SiN-Kette zu permethylierten Cyclotrisilazanen 8-10 mit variierten Substituenten in 2-Stellung sowie unter Verlängerung der SiN-Kette zu permethylierten Cyclotetrasilazanen 11 mit variierten Substituenten in 1.2- und 8-Stellung umsetzen. Analog gelingt die Darstellung des neuartigen anorganischen Achtrings 12 mit 1 P-, 3 Si- und 4 N-Atomen als Ringgliedern.

    Description / Table of Contents: Survey on the first-time syntheses of new inorganic ring systems in our team (scheme 1). - The title ring systems were prepared according to equ. (1-5) and varied in the compounds I-IX (table 1). Introduction of a P atom into the SiN ring system gives rise to a splitting of the proton signals of the substituents in the 1H nmr spectra (table 2), mostly in cause of coupling, partly in cause of steric effects.
    Notes: Überblick über erstmalig synthetisierte anorganische Ringsysteme im Arbeitskreis (Schema 1). - Die Ringsysteme des Titels wurden gemäß Rkk. (1-5) dargestellt und in den Verbindungen I-IX variiert (Tab.1). Die Einführung des P-Atoms in das SiN-Ringsystem bewirkt eine weitgehende Aufspaltung der Protonensignale der Substituenten in den 1H-NMR-Spektren (Tab.2), meist infolge Kopplung, teils infolge sterischer Effekte.

    Description / Table of Contents: Interaction between Grignard solvents and hexamethyldisilazane gives crystalline compounds of the composition [(me3Si)2N]2Mg · Hal2Mg · n(C2H5)2O (I, II, III). Additional reaction with alkali bis(trimethylsilyl)amides (equ. 6, 7) or direct combination between diethylmagnesium and hexamethyldisilazane (equ. 8) leads to the ether adduct [(me3Si)2N]2Mg · O(C2H5)2 (VII; m. p. 39°C), which pushs off the ether molecule on heating to 110°C and transforms into the easily sublimable title compound VIII, m. p. 116°C. VIII is not associated in the gaseous and dissolved state, and the magnesium atom has here the otherwise very seldom observed coordination number 2.
    Notes: Die Umsetzung von Grignard-Lösungen mit Hexamethyldisilazan führt zu kristallinen Verbindungen der Zusammensetzung [me3Si 2N]2Mg · Hal2Mg · n (C2H5)2O (I, II, III). Ihre weitere Umsetzung mit Alkali-bis(trimethylsilyl)-amid (Rk. 6, 7) oder auch die direkte Reaktion zwischen Diäthylmagnesium und Hexamethyldisilazan (Rk. 8) ergibt das Monoätheraddukt [(me3Si)2N]2Mg · O(C2H5)2 (VII) vom Schmp. 39°C, das beim Erhitzen auf 110°C unter Abspaltung des Äthers in die leicht sublimierbare Titelverbindung VIII, Schmp. 116°C, übergeht. Sie ist im Dampf- und in gelöstem Zustand nicht assoziiert; Mg besitzt in der Molekel die sonst kaum beobachtete Koordinationszahl 2.
