Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Zur Entwicklung von Architekturen von Informationssystemen (ISA) wird vielfach das Business-Systems-Planning-(BSP)-Konzept vorgeschlagen.
Notes: Abstract While determining information systems architectures (ISA), business systems planning (BSP) is a well-known method to join processes and data classes to subsystems. BSP matrices have generally been rearranged without describing the underlying methods. Meanwhile, various techniques have been developed for solving the ISA problem. Since exact optimization methods often fail to provide results for large ISA problems, different heuristics have been applied. A new heuristic for solving the ISA problem is the application of genetic algorithms (GA). This paper examines the application of a simple GA to the ISA problem and compares the results of applying the GA with those obtained by exact methods.

Notes: Abstract The technique of perturbedγ-angular correlation has been applied to measure atomic spin precessions of nuclear excited fluorine ions on recoil through vacuum in a weak transverse magnetic field. The ions were allowed to emerge from thin iron or copper backed targets and were stopped after flight through vacuum in a Ag foil. The differing precessions observed are attributed to different average charge states of the ions on emergence from the two target backings.

Notes: Abstract [Theg-factor ratio of the first excited 3− and 5− states in40Ca was measured to beg 3/g 5=1.01(10) employing the implantation perturbed angular correlation technique. The static hyperfine fields (SF) in Fe and Gd hosts were used. In addition the lifetime of the 5− state was measured to be τ=426(7)ps. The values of the SF in Gd and Fe hosts were deduced and compared with systematics in this element region.

Notes: Abstract Precision data on transient magnetic fields (TF) in ferromagnetic Gd and Fe were obtained for oxygen ions at velocities between 2 and 8v 0 (v 0=c/137) using the16O(3−) state as probe. At the high velocities the TF in Gd were found to be twice as large as in Fe which is in contrast to the generally observed scaling with the polarization density of the hosts. Degrees of polarization could be deduced from TF strengths using measured ion fractions of singly occupiedK-shell. The values derived were compared with theoretical estimates based on spin exchange scattering as a possible polarization mechanism.

Notes: Abstract Attenuated γ-angular correlations and atomic spin precessions were measured for single-electron fluorine ions recoiling through vacuum in weak transverse magnetic fields The Coulomb excited long-lived19F(5/2+) state at 197 keV was used as probe. The angular correlations observed in the focal coordinate system of the Coulomb excitation process as well as the spin precessions in weak external fields are well explained with simple electron configurations associated with the highly stripped ions.

Notes: Abstract Effective transient magnetic fields have been measured for S ions traversing thin ferromagnetic foils of Fe, Ni and Gd at mean velocities of 8.0v 0 (v 0 =c/137). The deduced polarizations attached to 1s electrons are discussed together with all data available for light ions considering spin exchange scattering as polarization mechanism.

Notes: Abstract Effective transient magnetic fields have been measured for single-electron carbon and oxygen ions traversing ferromagnetic Ni and Gd hosts, respectively. The deduced values ofK-shell polarization are well explained considering spin exchange scattering as a dominant mode of polarization.
