Notes:
Thioesters of the phosphorous acid containing cymantrenyl and ferrocenyl substituents at sulfur were obtained for the first time from the reaction of organometallic disulfides with white phosphorus. According to an X-ray diffraction study tricymantrenyl trithiophosphite adopts an unusual asymmetric cis, gauche, trans conformation along the P-S bonds with respect to the phosphorus lone electron pair. Triferrocenyl trithiophosphate possesses a classical propeller-like structure in the solid state which is different from its oxygen analogue.
