Notes:
The use of new latent organotin cataylsts has been investigated for silicone curing and polyurethane preparation. These functional tetraorganotins are inactive at room temperature and liberate in situ the active species, diorganotin dicarboxylates, when heated. They confer long pot-lives to the mixtures in which they are incorporated. Upon heating, these mixtures are rapidly cured or polymerized after a short activation period.
