Notes:
Summary Metabolic studies were performed in pigeons by using isotopically marked calcium (Ca45) injected subcutaneously. 16 birds receiving a normal diet were divided into 5 series: (1) controls, (2) daily intramuscular administration of œstrogen, (3) temporary administration of œstrogen, (4) and (5) pigeons with spontaneous ovarian activity which had or had not received œstrogen. A detailed report of the findings and conclusions herein listed will be published elsewhere.
