Summary The ammonium salt of glycinedithiocarbamic acid has been prepared for the first time and a report is given of the reactions of this compound with cations at three PH values. The reactions of bismuth and copper are applicable for the colorimetric and spectrophotometric determination of these elements. By means of suitably chosen complexing agents, bismuth can be determined in the presence of large amounts of copper and lead. Addition possibilities for using this reagent are given. A report on these will appear later.

Résumé On a préparé pour la première fois le sel ammonium de l'acide glycin-edithiocarbaminique et l'on a décrit les réactions de ce composé avec les cations pour trois valeurs de PH On peut appliquer les réactions des éléments bismuth et cuivre à leur dosage colorimétrique et spectrophotométrique. En choisissant un agent de complexation approprié on peut doser le bismuth à côté de très grandes quantités de plomb et de cuivre. Il y a d'autres possibilités d'applications de ce réactif, dont il sera mentionné en temps utile.

Zusammenfassung Das Ammoniumsalz der Glycindithiocarbaminsäure wurde erstmals dargestellt und die Reaktionen dieser Verbindung mit Kationen bei drei PH-Werten beschrieben. Die Reaktionen der Elemente Wismut und Kupfer sind für die kolorimetrische und spektrophotometrische Bestimmung dieser Elemente anwendbar. Durch Wahl geeigneter Komplexbildner kann Wismut neben sehr großen Mengen Blei und Kupfer bestimmt werden. Weitere Verwendungsmöglichkeiten dieses Reagens sind gegeben. Darüber wird zu gegebener Zeit berichtet werden.
