Description / Table of Contents:
N-Thiocyanato and N-Cyano Derivatives of S, S-DimethylsulfodiimineN-Thiocyanato compounds 1 and 2 of S, S-dimethylsulfodiimine are formed by reaction of the corresponding N-bromo compounds with KSCN. The N-cyano compounds (3 and 4) are generated by condensation of S, S-dimethylsulfodiimine with cyanogenchloride. According to the reaction conditions N, N′ -dicyanosulfodiimine (4) hydrolyzes in two ways to give N, N′ -dicarbamoyl-S, S-dimethylsulfodiimine (5) and dimethylsulfone or 3-imino-5-oxo-1,1-dimethy1-4,5-dihydro-3 H-1,2,4,6-thia(VI)triazine (6). The properties of the new compounds are reported.
Notes:
