Zusammenfassung Die cervicale lympho-venöse Anastomose bietet die Möglichkeit, auf dem Lymphweg eine Entlastung des Pfortaderhochdruckes zu erreichen. Die Wirksamkeit dieses neuen Operationsverfahrens wurde in der Klinik bei 10 Kranken unter der Varicenbildung, bei der drohenden Blutung und insbesondere bei der Behandlung des therapieresistenten Ascites erprobt. Die Indikation dieses als Palliativmaßnahme gedachten Operationsverfahrens bleibt auf die Fälle beschränkt, die die Voraussetzung für eine porto-cavale Anastomose nicht erfüllen.

Summary Cervical lympho-venous anastomosis makes it possible to relieve portal hypertension by way of the lymphatic system. The effectiveness of this new surgical method was tested in our hospital on 10 patients with varices which threatened to bleed. They also offered the opportunity of treating therapy-resistant ascites. The indication for this surgical procedure, which is solely intended as a palliative measure, has to remain confirmed to those cases that do not fulfil all the requirements for carrying out a porto-caval anastomosis.
