Hydrogen-Deuterium Exchange in Methane- and Ethanesulfono-bis(methylimide)methylamideWhen methanesulfonobis(methylimide)methylamide, CH3S(NCH3)2NHCH3, and ethanesulfonobis(methylimide)methylamide, C2H5S(NCH3)2NHCH3, are dissolved in D2O, the α-protons of the S-alkyl groups exchange with deuterium. The rates of reaction and activation energies were determined by proton magnetic resonance. The methyl compound follows the Brönsted catalysis law, which is formulated for a number of known sulfur-nitrogen compounds.

Methansulfono-bis(methylimid)-methylamid, CH3S(NCH3)2NHCH3, und Äthansulfonobis(methylimid)-methylamid. C2H5S(NCH3)2NHCH3, tauschen in D2O ihre zum S-Atom α-ständigen Alkylprotonen gegen Deuterium aus. - Die Geschwindigkeitskonstanten und die Aktivierungsenergien werden mit Hilfe der Protonenresonanz bestimmt. Die Methylverbindung gehorcht dem „Brönstedschen Katalysegesetz“, das für bereits untersuchte Schwefel-Stickstoff-Verbindungen formuliert wird.
