Notes: Quantum oscillations in the transverse magnetoresistance of aluminum single crystals were measured at 4.2 K in fields near the [001] direction of up to 50 kOe. The rotation diagrams around two axes, the current axis (θ-rotation) and normal to it (Φ-rotation), were investigated by directly measuring the amplitude of oscillations in steps of about 0.1†. As the field was tilted from [001] by about 2.5† in the Φ plane, the separation of double maxima in the θ rotation diagram changed from 0.8† to 5.0† for the [010] current samples, and from 2.8° to 5.6° for the [110]current samples, and the amplitude of oscillation decreased. A fast oscillation, which had not been observed in conventional dc magnetoresistance measurements, was simultaneously detected near the field direction where the β-orbit oscillations have a maximum amplitude.
