Notizen: Abstract We give a unified description for the ground states of6He and8He in a model comprising anα cluster and single-neutron clusters arranged into different configurations. Stochastic methods for selecting the the terms of the trial function yield excellent numerical convergence both for the energy and wave function. The6He and8He energies are reproduced by the same effective force very well.
