Notes: [Auszug] IN earlier publications, it has been shown that when dried vernalized unsplit seeds of mustard T. 27 are stored at room temperature for 836 days, or subjected to 30° ± 2° C. for 39 days, no de vernalization takes place. Furthermore, from a series of monthly sowings extending over a period of ...

Notes: [Auszug] IN contrast to vernalized wheat and rye, vernalized unsplit mustard seed does not become devernalized under high temperature1. Experiments were undertaken with mustard T.102 to find out whether (i) embryos excised from dried vernalized unsplit seeds would produce vernalized ...

Description / Table of Contents: Herstellung und Eigenschaften einiger sehr stabiler Nitrosylkomplexe des Rheniums werden beschrieben: ReCl3(NO), Re(OH)3(NO), M2ReCl5(NO), wobei M = K, Cs, NH4.
Notes: Preparation and properties of several highly stable nitroso complexes of rhenium viz. ReCl3(NO), Re(OH)3(NO)3 M2ReCl5(NO) where M is Cs, K and NH4 are described. These are analogous to the corresponding ruthenium complexes. The oxidation number of the ‘ReNO’ unit as a whole, is +3 but that of the rhenium atom cannot be determined. The nitric oxide stretching band lies within the range of 1710-1920 cm-1. The cesium and potassium salts are weakly paramagnetic at room temperature.

Description / Table of Contents: Chemie des dreiwertigen Niobs.
Notes: A stable compound of lower valent niobium viz. KKb(SO4)2 · 4 H2O in which Nb is in +3 oxidation state has been isolated pure. It has been characterised by its chemical properties, UV, visible and i.r. spectral studies and also by polarographic investigations.

Description / Table of Contents: Reaktion von NO mit vierwertigen RheniumverbindungenStickoxid reagiert mit ReO2 bei 70-80°C quantitativ unter Bildung von Re(NO)(OH)3, ReO4- und NH4+· [Re(NO)Cl5]2- und ReO4- werden im stöchiometrischen Verhältnis sowohl bei der Reaktion von NO mit einer Suspension von ReO2 in 6 n HCl als auch in wäßrig-äthanolischer Suspension mit einem Gemisch von NO und HCl bei 70-80°C gebildet. Beim Überleiten von NO bei 220°C über Phenanthroliniumhexa-halogenorhenat(IV) wird Nitrosylhalogenid, Halogenwasserstoff und [Re(NO)(phen)Cl3] bzw. [Re(NO)(phen)Br3] gebildet.
Notes: Nitric oxide reacts with hydrated ReO2 in aqueous suspension at 70-80°C to produce quantitatively Re(NO)(OH)3, ReO4- and NH4+. [Re(NO)Cl5]2- and ReO4- are produced in stoichiometric quantities by the reaction of either NO with ReO2 suspension in 6 N HCl or by the action of a mixture of NO and HCl with an aqueous ethanolic or aqueous suspension of ReO2 at 70-80°C. Passage of NO over 1,10-phenanthrolinium hexahalorhenate(IV) at 220°C produces nitrosyl halide, hydrogen halide and [Re(NO) (phen)Cl3] or [Re(NO)(phen)Br3].

Description / Table of Contents: Die thermische Zersetzung der Verbindungen (MH2)[ReCl5(NO)] wurde untersucht (M = Pyridin, 2,2′-Dipyridyl bzw. 1,10-Phenanthrolin). Ausgangsverbindungen und Zersetzungsprodukte siehe „Abstract“. Die freie Säure H[ReCl4Py(NO)] zerfällt bei 200°C in [ReCl3(NO)] und [ReCl3Py2(NO)].
Notes: Study of the thermal decomposition of (MH)2[ReCl5(NO)] where M stands for pyridine, 2,2′ dipyridyl and 1,10 phenanthroline in carbon dioxide atmosphere is described. Pyridine compound produces pyH[ReCl4py(NO)] at 250°C and [ReCl3py2(NO)] at 400°C. Dipyridyl and phenanthroline compounds produce [ReCl3(dipy)(NO)] and [ReCl3(phen)(NO)] at 210°C and 220°C respectively. The acid H[ReCl4py(NO)] decomposes under similar condition at 200°C to produce [ReCl3(NO)] and [ReCl3py2(NO)] in equivalent quantities.
