Abstract The main difficulties in conventional argon-arc welding methods of high-temperature nickel-base alloys are caused by their elevated capacity for crack formation and the-impossibility in some cases of obtaining joints with a strength equal to me strength of me base metal. Welding such materials by beam methods (laser and electron-beam) presents special interest. This paper presents the results of an investigation of welded joints of high-temperature alloys obtained by laser welding.
