Notes: Abstract Joint precipitation of Cr(III) and Co(II) ions at pH = 1.8–12.0 and 2.5–12.0 is investigated. It is established that a Cr2Co3O6 · 10H2O hydrocomplex precipitates in the Cr(III)-Co(II) -NO3- H2O system at pH = 3.0 –10.5 and is dehydrated at 940°C. The compound obtained can be used as a pigment for preparing overglaze paints and color glazes for decorating porcelain, faience, and majolica articles.

Notes: Abstract Obtaining precipitates from aqueous solutions of iron and copper ores is considered. The conditions of precipitation, composition, and properties of the precipitates are investigated. It is shown that the precipitates can be used as pigments.

Notes: Abstract The effect of soluble magnesium, calcium and zinc salts and chalk on the whiteness and mechanical properties of household porcelain is described. It was shown that by impregnating the articles with the salts after the first firing, their whiteness can be increased by 3 - 5%. The addition of chalk also substantially increases the whiteness of the porcelain.

Notes: Abstract The formation of precipitates of iron(III) and nickel(II) hydroxides by coprecipitation is considered. It is established that by changing the pH a hydroxide precipitate that contains Fe and Ni with a ferrite proportion of 2:1 can be prepared. The methods of IR spectroscopy, DTA, and x-ray phase analysis are used to show the possibility of formation of nickel ferrites that are suitable as overglaze paints for decorating porcelain and faience.

Notes: Abstract The results of experiments on coprecipitation of copper and chromium hydroxides are presented. It is established that the final product of coprecipitation is an individual hydroxide compound that transforms when heated into Cu2Cr2O4 and CuCr2O4 spinels which preserve their stability up to 1200°C. The pigment can be used for decorating porcelain and ceramic tile.
