Zusammenfassung Es wird über das Verhalten der Schilddrüsenhormone und des TSH im Plasma von Männern im Frühstadium eines akuten Myocardinfarktes berichtet. T3 war bereits bei Klinikaufnahme erniedrigt und fiel weiter rapide ab. rT3 war bei Klinikaufnahme erhöht und erreichte nach 19 Stunden sein Maximum. T4 und TSH zeigten keine wesentlichen Veränderungen. Die Ergebnisse deuten daraufhin, daß es in der Frühphase des Myocardinfarktes zu einer raschen Verschiebung der Monodejodination des T4 zugunsten von rT3 anstelle von T3 mit rapidem. Abfall des T3 und Anstieg des rT3 im Blut kommt.

Summary The changes of thyroid hormones and TSH in plasma of males in the early stage of myocardial infarction are described. Already on admission T3 was diminished and went on falling. On admission rT3 was elevated and reached its maximum after 19 hours. T4 and TSH did not show essential alterations. The results suggest that in the early stage of myocardial infarction a rapid shift of the monodeiodination of T4 to rT3 occurs instead of T3 with a quick decrease of T3 and increase of rT3 in the blood.
