Notes: Abstract Excited states of73Se have been investigated up to spin, 21/2 using techniques of in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy in connection with the70Ge(α, n) reaction. Mean lifetimes of 12 levels have been determined applying Doppler-shift andγ-RF-methods. Five different bands have been identified that reflect a variety of different excitation modes. The decoupled 9/2+ band is likely to correspond to an oblate deformation while the 5/2+ band is interpreted as a strongly coupled prolate band built on the Nilsson configuration [422] 5/2+. The 3/2− band is a strongly coupled band built on the [301] 3/2} configuration.Nuclear reactions:70Ge(α,n),E=14, 16, 18, 19, 20MeV; measuredE γ,I γ,σ(E γ,θ),γγ-coin, linear polarization, DSA,γ(t).75Se deduced levels,I, π, τ, δ(E2/M1), B(σλ). Notes: Summary The separation of racemic side-chain fluorinated alkylbenzenes and bromofluorinated analogues by capillary gas chromatography using permethylated α, β and γ-cyclodextrins dissolved in polysiloxanes of different polarity as stationary phases is described. The influence of the achiral polysiloxane matrices on the separation of enantiomers is discussed in the light of the results obtained with the different phases. For a part of the tested compounds thermodynamic data are determined which describe the interaction of enantiomers with the stationary phase. The mechanism of separation is discussed on this basis and by comparison with data for structurally similar compounds.

Notes: Abstract The70Ge(α,nγ)73Se reaction was used to populate medium spin states of the73Se nucleus. Spins and parities up to about Iπ=(21/2+)ħ were determined by gamma angular distribution, gamma linear polarization and excitation function measurements.

Notes: Gas Chromatographic Investigation of Stereoisomeric Cyclotrideca-1,5,9-trienesUsing achiral phases of different polarity in capillary gas chromatography on the one hand and a chiral cyclodextrine phase on the other hand it is demonstrated, that a ring-enlargement sequence starting from (E, E, Z)-cyclododeca-1,5,9-triene yields five of the six theoretically possible isomeric cyclotrideca-1,5,9-trienes and (E, Z)-trans-bicyclo[10.1.0]trideca- 4,8-diene. With all achiral phases only three of the isomeric trienes and the bicyclic isomer were separated from each other; (E, Z, E)- and (Z, E, Z)-cyclotrideca-1,5,9-triene are eluated in only one (the fifth) peak, these isomers were separated on the cyclodextrine phase. Moreover, this chiral phase separates the enantiomers of the bicyclic isomer.
