Notizen: Summary Somatic hybrid plants have been regenerated from fused protoplasts of a chlorophyll deficient mutant of H. muticus (2n=28) with wild type protoplasts of H. albus (2n=68). The inability of protoplasts of H. albus to regenerate was utilized in complementation with achlorophyllous, but regenerating, protoplasts of H. muticus for the selection of green somatic hybrid colonies and plants. The somatic hybrid plants showed intermediate morphological characters, and possessed 82–120 chromosomes, with a modal number of 96 which is also the amphidiploid complement of the two species. The isozyme patterns indicated the presence and expression of genes from both parents. The hybrid plants produced 33–78% viable pollen and set viable seeds upon selfing and backcrossing in a directional manner.

Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Poly(phenylphosphindiylterephthaloyl), ein neues phosphorhaltiges Polymeres, wurde durch Lösungspolykondensation von Dilithium(phenyl)phosphin mit Terephthaloylchlorid bei niedriger Temperatur hergestellt. Es ist in polaren aprotischen Lösungsmitteln löslich; die inhärente Viskosität in DMF bei 30°C beträgt 19 ml/g. Das Polymere wurde mittels Elementaranalyse sowie IR- und 1H-NMR-Spektroskopie charakterisiert. TGA-Messungen ergeben, daß das Polymere in Luft bis 250°C stabil ist; es ist selbstverlöschend.

Notizen: Poly(phenylphosphinediylterephthaloyl), a novel phosphorus-containing polymer, was synthesized by low-temperature solution polycondensation of dilithio(phenyl)-phosphine with terephthaloyl chloride. The resulting polymer is soluble in polar aprotic solvents, having inherent viscosity of 19 ml/g in DMF at 30°C. The polymer was characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. TGA data show that the polymer is stable up to 250°C in air. The polymer was found to be self-extinguishing.

Notizen: Summary Three populations (Poliya, Deshi, and Tiyor) of the Koch ethnic group have been studied for the distribution of three serum protein and four red cell enzyme polymorphisms. There was no significant difference in the allelic frequencies of these systems in the three populations of the Koch ethnic group. The overall gene frequencies were as follows:Hp 1, 0.21;Gc 1F, 0.34;Gc 1s, 0.36;Gc 2, 0.30;Tf C1, 0.66;Tf C2, 0.26;Tf C3, 0.001;Tf D, 0.06;GLO 1, 0.21;PGI 2, 0.04;AK 2, 0.01;PGM 1+, 0.80;PGM 1−, 0.06;PGM 2+, 0.11 andPGM 2−, 0.02. The phenotypic distribution at all the loci was at Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.
