Notes: Summary The performance of SEC with coupled density and RI detection in the analysis of copolymers is evaluated by comparison with the conventional approach of combining the selective UV detector with a universal detector. It is shown that the combination of these two universal detectors (density and RI) yields the same results in the analysis of copolymers of styrene and butadiene and mixtures of the corresponding homopolymers.
