    Description / Table of Contents: Synthesis, Structure, Derivatives, and Coordination Chemistry of 1,1-Bis[(diphenylphosphino)methyl]etheneReaction of 3-chloro-2-(chloromethyl)-1-propene with 2 equivalents of LiPPh2 yields 1,1-bis[(diphenylphosphino)methyl]ethene (1), whose molecular structure has been determined by X-ray crystallography. This product is converted into the disulfide 2 when treated with sulfur, into the bisphosphonium salt 3 by reaction with Mel, and into the cyclic compound 4 when treated with H2BBr·SMe2. Reaction of 1 with dimeric carbonylrhodium(I) chloride affords the spirocyclic rhodium complex 5, and treatment with 2 equivalents of carbonylgold(I) chloride yields the dinuclear complex 6. The crystal structure determination of 6 showed that the monomers are arranged in chains with relatively short intermolecular Au…Au contacts (3.293 Å).
    Notes: Die Reaktion von 3-Chlor-2-(chlormethyl)-1-propen mit 2 Äquivalenten LiPPh2 liefert 1,1-Bis[(diphenylphosphino)methyl]ethen (1), dessen Molekülstruktur röntgenographisch ermittelt wurde. Verbindung 1 reagiert mit elementarem Schwefel unter Bildung des Disulfids 2 und mit Methyliodid zum Bisphosphoniumsalz 3. Die Umsetzung mit H2BBr·SMe2 führt zum cyclischen Bis(phosphonio)boranat-Salz 4, die Reaktion mit dimerem Carbonyrhodium(I)-chlorid zum spirocyclischen Rhodiumkomplex 5. Behandlung von 1 mit 2 Äquivalenten Carbonylgold(I)-chloric liefert den zweikernigen Komplex 6. Die Röntgenstrukturanalyse von 6 zeigt, daß die monomeren Einheiten im Kristall kettenförmig angeordnet sind, wobei relativ kurze intermolekulare Au…Au-Kontakte (3.293 Å). auftreten.
