Notes:
Abstract Adsorption-entanglement layers have been shown to interfere with the measurement of intrinsic viscosity of high-molecular weight (M w≳106) atactic polystyrene solutions. Values of the intrinsic viscosity, corrected for the pressure of any such layers are reported. The Mark-Houwink relationship is thus shown to fail at high molecular weights.
