Notes:
Using a randomly selected sample of 104 faculty women at a midwestern university, relationships among health locus of control, health value, and exercise of self-care agency (ESCA) were investigated. T tests, analysis of variance, chisquare, and Pearson product moment correlation coefficients were used to test hypotheses. A predicted positive correlation between ESCA and internality (P 0.001) and a negative correlation between ESCA and chance (P 0.001) were supported. Results also supported hypotheses of relationships between ESCA and health value (P 0.05), health status (P 0.001), and satisfaction with health (P 0.001).
