    Notes: Abstract In this paper we propose a modification of the relationship between a short-time propagator and a corresponding classical lagrangian. This modification enables us, in a simple way, to construct path integrals for configuration spaces with boundaries where we have to take into account boundary conditions imposed on the propagator. Simple examples are added as illustrations.

    Notes: Abstract It is shown that the standard WKB-approximation (the approximation of the first order inħ) to the propagator is not sufficient for the construction of the short-time propagator on curved spaces. The proper short-time propagator can be obtained by means of the second order (inħ) WKB-approximation and then no subtraction of a “quantum correction” proportional toħ 2 from the original Lagrangian is necessary.

    Notes: Abstract QCD sum rules of Shifman, Vainstein and Zakharov are investigated from the point of view of analytical extrapolations: in the weighted sum rule the analyticity connects the low energy hadron parameters with the high energy QCD parameters (coupling constant, quark masses, condensate parameters). It is shown that the optimal weight function in the sum rule is prescribed by the errors of the input information. The optimal tests of analyticity are proposed and applied (under some simplifying assumptions) to the vector and pseudoscalar charmonium channels.
