Abstract The well-known linear theory of oscillatory torsional flow of viscoelastic liquids between a pair of coaxial discs is generalized by including the linearized description of apparent slip effects at the walls of the discs.

Zusammenfassung Die allgemein bekannte lineare Theorie der Torsionströmung zwischen achsensymmetrisch oszillierenden koaxialen Scheiben, die den Einfluß der Trägheit der Flüssigkeit und der Dynamik des Meßsystems berücksichtigt, wird durch die lineare Beschreibung des Einflusses des scheinbaren Schlupfes an den Scheibenwänden erweitert.
