Zusammenfassung Die Indikation zur Anlage eines extraanatomischen Bypasses besteht bei Patienten mit hohen präoperativen Risikofaktoren und bei tiefer Gefäßinfektion. Von 1972–1981 wurden 179 axillo-(bi-) femorale und 120 femoro-femorale Bypässe unter Verwendung von Dacron-, Dacron-Velours-, DoppelVelours und PTFE-Spiral-Prothesen implantiert. Die Nachbeobachtung war bis zu 9 Jahren möglich. Die kumulative Durchgängigkeitsrate betrug beim femoro-femoralen Bypass nach 3 Jahren noch 84,1 %, beim axillo-(bi-)femoralen Bypass nach 4 Jahren noch 55,9 % und beim axillo-femoralen Bypass nach 4,7 Jahren noch 34,7%.

Summary The indication for performance of an extra-anatomical bypass is found in high-risk patients and in certain vascular infections. From 1972–1981, 179 axillo-(bi-)femoral and 120 femoro-femoral bypasses were implanted using Dacron, Dacron-velours, double-velours, and PTFE Spiral prostheses. Results over a period of 9 years were given. The cumulative patency rate for the femoro-femoral bypasses was 84.1 % after 3 years, for the axillo-(bi-)femoral bypasses 55.9 % after 4 years, and for the axillo-femoral bypasses 34.7 % after 4.7 years.
