Notes: Summary Soybeans seeds (cv.Amsoy-71) were disinfected by several fungicides (TMTD, Captan, PCNB and Benlate), sown on different dates as a single or as a second crop, and inoculated with one of two strains ofRhizobium japonicum applied either on the seeds or into the furrows. Nodulation was more abundant in the planting of May than in July, the strain USDA-110 always produced more nodular infections than CB-1809, the method ofinoculating the rhizobia influenced the location of the nodules within the root system, and the antirhizobial effects of the fungicides depended on the technique of inoculation and the strain ofR. japonicum used, too. In the present work, it is also studied the relationship between the fungicides treatments and yields of grains and proteins.
