Notes:
Summary The discussion of the i.r. analysis of two-component mixtures using two absorption bands shows: 1. In the case of pure standards it is possible to evaluate the absorptivities. If the standards are not absolutly pure the values of absorptivities may only be estimated approximately. 2. In the case of not-overlapping absorption bands it is possible to evaluate the absorptivities from measurements using mixtures of unknown quantitative composition. If the absorption bands overlap partially only an approximate estimation of absorptivities is possible. The errors of analyses for the case of the first and the second approximation are discussed.
