Es ist geeignet, die makroskopische und bisher subjektive Auswertung der Waschhaut mit Rückschlüssen auf die Wasserzeit durch systematische fotografische Dokumentation mit Hilfe eines Auflicht-Präparations-Mikroskops zu objektivieren.
    Notes: Summary An investigation method is proposed to find out quantitatively the beginning and the degree of „washerwoman's hands“ at the fingertips. To answer the question, for how long there was contact with a fluid medium, systematic investigations are necessary to measure the width of the „cristae papillares“ of several test persons with an onlight-photomicroscope under similar fluid conditions.

    Notes: Summary In the larval epidermal trunk region ofSalamandra maculosa, the total number of mitoses of both sides is approximately the same. This applies to the differentiated Leydig cells as well as to the rest of the epidermis cells. With respect to the meristic segmentation of the trunk, we find within the single segments a regular rise of the mitotic rate, which alternates from one side to the other. From the total number of mitoses found in the epidermis of the trunk, approximately 40% can be accounted for to the dorsal and 60% to the ventral region of the trunk. The number of cells is the same for both the ventral and dorsal region.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung 70 genormte Pendel-Stich-Versuche mit einem Brotmesser an den Oberschenkeln von 7 Leichen werden an Hand von synchron aufgezeichneten Weg-Zeit-Kurven und Widerstand-Zeit-Kurven ausgewertet. In 10 Fällen werden die Ergebnisse mit Hilfe von Filmaufnahmen einer Hochfrequenzkamera überprüft. Für 5 markante Punkte der Kurven werden in einer Tabelle die Mittelwerte und Extremwerte (Weg, Widerstand und Zeit) mitgeteilt. Nach den Mittelwerten wird ein für die Stich-Serie charakteristisches Diagramm erstellt und interpretiert. Die Initialspitze der Widerstand-Zeit-Kurven kennzeichnet mit dem von der Messerspitze zurückgelegten Weg von durchschnittlich 2,5 cm die maximale Impression der Haut und die beginnende Perforation. Der Gewebswiderstand in der Tiefe der Muskulatur ist unter unseren dynamischen Bedingungen durchschnittlich etwas größer als der Eindringwiderstand. Die beschriebene Versuchsanordnung ist geeignet, differenzierte quantitative Aufschlüsse über die Stich-Dynamik im Zielbereich zu geben.
    Notes: Summary 70 normed pendulum stabbing tests with a bread-knife on the thighs of 7 corpses were assessed by synchronically registered distance-time and resistance-time-tracings. In 10 instances the results were checked by means of film recordings with a high speed camera. 5 characteristic points of these curves are given in a table showing average values and extreme values (distance, resistance, time). Using the average values, a diagram showing the characteristica for this stabbing-series, was made and interpreted. The initial peak of the resistance-time curves marks maximum impression of the skin and beginning puncture. During these events the knife's point moves an average of 2.5 cm. Tissue resistance in the depth of the muscle is — at our conditions of dynamics — generally higher than the skin-resistance. The test arrangements described here are suited to yield differentiated quantitative results as to stabbing dynamics in the target area.

    Notes: Summary Thirty patients with disseminated malignant tumors received 0.5–2 mg vincristine/m2 as a continuous infusion for 1–5 days. Tumor regressions were observed in five patients (17%) who had all received polychemotherapy before. Side effects occurred in 22 patients (73%). Toxicity was mainly neurological in type, and reversible. Eleven patients (37%) suffered from deep nagging pain. Six patients (20%) had paralytic ileus; caerulein, a decapeptide, was given to two of them and led to a prompt resolution of the symptoms. Monitoring of immune parameters in ten patients revealed a transient depression of T and B cell function. Vincristine is highly toxic when given as continuous infusion in doses of 1.2 mg/m2 or more daily. Therefore this modality is not recommended for routine clinical use. Future studies of continuous vincristine infusions should use less than 1.2 mg vincristine/m2 daily.
