Zusammenfassung Es wird kurz über das unterschiedliche Verhalten der Leukocyten verbrühter und verbrüht und gekühlter Ratten berichtet. Die Leukocytenzahlen der nur verbrühten Tiere war zu den Untersuchungszeitpunkten (48 und 96 Std) signifikant höher als die der verbrüht und gekühlten Tiere. Die Leukocytenwerte nach Kühlung lagen im Normbereich unbehandelter Ratten.

Summary Differences in the leukocyte count between scalded rats and rats which were subjected to induced hypothermia following scalding, are reported. The leukocyte count of rats 48 and 96 hrs after scalding was significantly higher than the leukocyte count of rats subsequently subjected to cooling. The leukocyte count after induced hypothermia stayed within the limits of the standard deviation of untreated rats.
