ZusammenfaBung Eine prophylaktische Circumcision ist unnötig. Bei der von den Eltern gewünschtenBeschneidung wurden mit der Gomko-Klemme, dem Plastibell-Verfahren und der ovalären subtotalen Circumcision gute ErgebniBe erzielt. AlsPhimoseoperation ist die radikale Circumcision angezeigt bei narbiger Schrumpfung des Präputium, bei atrophischer Phimose und Rezidiveingriffen. Die hypertrophische Phimose kann unter Erhaltung der Vorhaut durch das plastische Verfahren nach Föderl in 96 % mit gutem Erfolg korrigiert werden, wie Nachuntersuchungen an 157 Kindern ergaben.

Summary Prophylactic circumcision is not neceBary. In cases of circumcision on demand of the parents good results were obtained with Gomko's device, with the Plastibell method, and with oval subtotal circumcision. Radical circumcision as phimosiectomy is indicated in cicatrical preputial stenosis, in atrophic phimosis, and operation of recurrences. In the treatment of hypertrophic phimosis with preservation of the foreskin good results were obtained with Föderl's plastic method in 96% of 157 reexamined children.
