Notes: Summary Analytical Determination of Traces of Cadmium in Inorganic Matrices by Atomic Fluorescence With Electrothermal Atomization A method for the determination of traces of cadmium in inorganic substances (Ga, As, Al, GaAs) by atomic fluorescence with electrothermal atomization is described. The optimized parameters of the self-made AF-spectrometer and the micro-wave excited, selfmade Cd-EDL are given. The influence of the matrices on the Cd-AFS is discussed. It is shown, that determinations of traces of Cd are possible in easy and truly vapor-isable inorganic matrices by optimization of the volatilization processes. The detection limits are: 0,2 ppb, 5,6 ppb, 44 ppb, 2,5 ppb and 85 ppb relative to 10 mg acid, 1,25 mg Ga, 0,05 mg Al, 1,34 mg As and 0,25 mg GaAs.
