Notes: Abstract The interface profile of the two-dimensional Ising ferromagnet is obtained for all temperatures in the thermodynamic limit. The width of the interface depends on its length as (length)1/2.

Notes: Abstract The critical index valuesγ= 7/4 for the susceptibility andδ=15 for the critical isotherm are derived rigorously for the rectangular Ising ferromagnet with nearest neighbor interactions. The critical indices associated with the Fisher moment definition of the correlation length are obtained asT→T c+. The index of the fluctuation sum definition of critical correlations is obtained.

Notes: Abstract The characteristic function of a block spin in the face of an Ising ferromagnetic half-plane is obtained in closed form. The distribution function for the block spin converges to a Gaussian at the critical temperature, but the normalization of the block is modified.

Notes: Abstract An extension is given of the development by Schultz et al. [3] of the pioneering work of Kaufman and Onsager [2] on the planar Ising ferromagnet. This involves a novel form of Wick's theorem [19] for fermions. In subsequent papers the method will be applied to determine then-point functions and to evaluate rigorously critical indices.

Notes: Abstract A representation of the pair correlation function for the rectangular Ising model in zero magnetic field is derived using a new spinor technique; this enables the scaling limit to be established, as well as several analytical properties of the scaling functions.

Notes: Abstract A new representation for then-point functions of the Planar Ising ferromagnet is given. Below the critical temperature the boundary conditions are toroidal; the state is a superposition of the extremal invariant ones, with equal weights.

Notes: Abstract We consider a lattice model of a binary mixture in which each molecule of one component can form zero, one, or two bonds to molecules of the same species on neighboring vertices of the square lattice. We allow the energy of molecules with two bonds to depend on the valence angle, thus generalizing the first paper in this series. If “straight” polymeric configurations are favored over all others, then a phase transition occurs for low enough temperature. On the other hand, if bent configurations are favored, there is no phase transition. Analogous results are obtained for the hexagonal lattice, where we distinguish energetically betweencis andtrans isomerism of four bonded molecules.
