Zusammenfassung Es wird über die erfolgreiche Therapie einer schweren (80–100 ml) Tetrachlorkohlenstoff-Vergiftung mit extrakorporaler Hämoperfusion über Aktivkohle berichtet. Zur Sicherung des Therapieeffekts dieser Behandlungsmethode wurden in vitro Clearance-Versuche durchgeführt. Die erreichten Ergebnisse werden anhand der Literatur diskutiert.

Abstract A case of severe carbon tetrachloride intoxication and its successful treatment by extracorporeal hemoperfusion with activated charcoal is reported. The therapeutic effect of this treatment is confirmed by investigation of in vitro clearance studies. Results are discussed together with literature.
