Notes:
Summary Familial occurrence of intracranial aneurysms, though rare, is a recognized phenomenon. The author has added 6 cases in 3 families and reviewed the world literature on this subject. There are a total of 88 cases verified by angiography, surgery or autopsy occurring in 41 families. Various associated diseases and anomalies are mentioned. A familial occurrence lends support to the theory of congenital origin of intracranial aneurysms.
