Sommaire L'intérêt croissant de la profession médicale dans la surveillance suggère qu'il serait approprié de décrire certaines des techniques statistiques utilisées pour la surveillance dans la Recherche Opérationelle et autres domaines alliés. Cet article discute le sens de la ‘surveillance’ en termes de statistiques, et décrit les deux techniques de surveillance disponibles aujourd'hui et d'utilisation étendue, c'est-à-dire les méthodes de Cusum et Trigg (ou d'erreurs adoucies). L'article discute également les possibilités de surveillance off-line et on-line de ces deux méthodes dans le domaine médical.
Abstract:
Zusammenfassung Das wachsende Interesse in Monitorüberwachung in medizinischen Kreisen lässt darauf schliessen, dass es zweckmässig wäre, einige der statistischen Verfahren für Monitorzwecke in der Operationsforschung und auf verwandten Gebieten zu beschreiben. Dieser Bericht bespricht, was “Monitorüberwachung” in statistischem Sinne bedeutet und beschreibt die zwei am häufigsten benutzten und heute erhältlichen statistischen Monitortechniken, nämlich die Cusum und die Trigg (oder Irrtumausgleich) Methoden. Der Artikel bespricht auch die möglichen, vom übrigen System abhängigen und unabhängigen Möglichkeiten dieser zwei Methoden auf medizinischem Gebiet.

Abstract The medical profession's increasing interest in monitoring, suggests that it would be appropriate to describe some of the statistical techniques used for monitoring in Operational Research and related fields. This article discusses what ‘monitoring’ means in statistical terms and describes the two most widely used statistical monitoring techniques currently available, namely the Cusum and Trigg (or smoothed error) methods. The article also discusses the possible off-line and on-line monitoring possibilities of these two methods in the medical field.
