    Notes: Abstract The slowly varying component of the Sun at 169 MHz for the period August 1962 to March 1966 has been studied, using daily data from the East West radioheliograph at Nançay. By relating these radio data to the optical features visible on the solar disc (calcium plages and filaments), this thermal radio-emission can be satisfactorily interpreted as originating in both helmets and active streamers: The radio-sources responsible for this emission are linked to the presence of filaments. Depending on the cases, these filaments are either very far from any calcium plage, or closely associated with them. The cross-sectional area of such sources is often far from having circular symmetry and seems to be closely related to the configuration of the underlying filament itself. In several cases, the altitude of the sources can be estimated, and a typical value of about 270000 km is found. In this respect no significant difference is found between radio-sources related to a filament closely associated with a calcium plage, and those which are related to a filament very far from such plages. At 169 MHz, coronal enhancements provide a relatively small contribution to the slowly varying component. Finally, the observations are used to derive a morphological model for streamers in the medium corona, and several implications of such a model are briefly discussed.

    Notes: Abstract Rats were tested in a Lashley III maze, the floor of which was heated. The animals had to learn to negotiate it in order to gain access to the unheated goal box. In the early period of training the animals were able to find the goal box rapidly and without error. Their performance then deteriorated, in a particular way which strongly evoked a conflict behavior. This deterioration in performance was progressively reduced by oxazepam administration (8 mg/kg/day).

    Notes: Abstract The “staircase” is a simple and rapid test and was used to study two components of exploratory behaviour in the rat. The scores of rearing and the number of steps climbed during three minutes were recorded. Various psychotropic drugs were tested, which modified these two parameters. Neuroleptic induced a parallel decrease of both, while benzodiazepines, meprobamate, amobarbitone and ethanol decreased the rearing at doses which left the steps climbed unchanged. At high doses, there was a parallel decrease of both parameters. Amphetamine, at lower doses, increased the rearing score alone. The comparison of the studied psychotropic drug effects with those of two muscle relaxants (by a comparison of the slopes of regression lines) suggests that either the observed benzodiazepine effects were only partly due to their myorelaxant action, or, that both myorelaxants have some anxiolytic action. The effect of amphetamine at low doses can be viewed as a demonstration of increased anxiety.

    Notes: Abstract The influence of three beta-adrenergic blocking agents was studied on the stereotyped behavior induced in rats by a range of doses of d-amphetamine or apomorphine. The stereotyped behavior was assessed either clinically (quotation from 0 to 3 at various times for each rat) or using the confinement motor activity test. From 8 mg/kg (i.p.) onwards, propranolol and prinodolol clearly potentiated the amphetamine-induced stereotyped behavior without any modification of the apomorphine-induced stereotyped behavior. Practolol, known for its poor passage through the blood-brain barrier had only a slight effect.

    Notes: Abstract The energy scale of the Michigan OSO III soft X-ray ion chamber has been assessed by using realistic theoretical X-ray spectra. Multiplicative factors by which the data may be corrected are proposed. The factors are only slightly temperature-dependent. A test of the proposed energy scale indicates it is still somewhat uncertain.

Kostenmodelle sind integrierende Bestandteile im Rahmen der bestmöglichen Auslegung derartiger Systeme. Da Kostenmodelle die für zukünftige Systeme erforderlichen Größen abschätzen sollen, sind sie mit Hilfe von Prognoseverfahren zu realisieren. Ausgehend von den Daten historischer Systeme werden als Modellparameter technische Faktoren in Ansatz gebracht.
