    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die sichere Strukturermittlung von Barbituratmetaboliten, isoliert aus biologischem Material bei verschiedenen Schlafmittelvergiftungen (Amobarbital, Evipan, Luminal, Medomin usw.) ist im allgemeinen an Hand eines IR-Spektrums nur bedingt möglich, wie entsprechende Untersuchungen zeigten. Mit Hilfe der Massenspektrometrie gelang es, diese Barbituratmetaboliten strukturell zu identifizieren und so eine Zuordnung der entsprechenden IR-Spektren zu ermöglichen.
    Notes: Summary The structural elucidation of barbiturate metabolites isolated from biological materials by intoxications with various sedatives (amobarbital, hexobarbital, phenobarbital, heptobarbital, etc.) is only possible to a limited degree using IR-spectroscopy, as appropriate investigations have shown. However, with the help of mass-spectrometry, it is possible to identify structurally the barbiturate metabolites and correlate their respective IR-spectra.
