Description / Table of Contents: Bis-phenylphosphino-methylpyridine-(2) (PhPMP) gives with NiII salts 1,2-chelates. The chloro and thiocyanato chelate have octahedral, the perchlorate a planar-quadratic structure. Coordination number 5 is discussed for the corresponding bromo and iodo complexes.CoII-1,2-chelates are also formed with PhPMP. The chloro, bromo, and thiocyanato complexes are all of high-spin type, having an octahedral structure. The chelates from CoII iodide and perchlorate show reduced paramagnetism. In Co(PhPMP)2(ClO4)2 one perchlorate group appears to have a monodentate ligand function.
-perchlorat abgeleiteten Chelate zeigen reduzierten Paramagnetismus. Im Co(PhPMP)2(ClO4)2 fungiert das Perchlorat z. T. als einzähliger Ligand.
