Notes:
Summary A number of therapeutically unrelated agents diminish mast cell degranulation induced by BW 48/80; phenylbutazone, acetylsalicylic acid, chlorpromazine, morphine, meperidine and etonitazine. The mechanisms by which these agents act is unknown. Administration of hydrocortisone, cortisone and ACTH has no effect on mast cell disruption. Hypophysectomy induces a greater resistance of mast cells against the disrupting effect of BW 48/80.
