Barium, Strontium und andere Kationen, die unlösliche Selenite bilden, stören, nur Magnesium nicht. Das Verfahren ist rasch und für Routineanalysen geeignet. Im Bereich zwischen 50 und 70 mg Calcium ist der Fehler geringer als 1% relativ.
    Abstract: Résumé On décrit un titrage ampérométrique du calcium par l'ion sélénite. Le baryum, le strontium et les autres cations formant des sélénites insolubles interfèrent, excepté le magnésium. La méthode est rapide et convient à l'analyse en série, l'erreur étant inférieure à 10 parties pour 1000 dans le domaine de 50–70 mg de calcium.
    Notes: Summary An amperometric titration of calcium with selenite is described. Barium, strontium, and other cations forming insoluble selenites interfere, but magnesium does not. The method is rapid and suitable for routine analysis, the error being less than 10 parts per 1000 over the range 50 to 70 mg of calcium.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Zur polarographischen Zinkbestimmung wird eine 1 m Natriumformiatlösung (pH 7,0) und 0,005% Gelatine als Maximumunterdrücker empfohlen. Im Bereich von 1–6 mMol Zink werden gut ausgebildete Stufen erhalten. Verschiedene Anionen stören nicht. Das Verfahren kann auch zur Bestimmung von Zink und Mangan nebeneinander angewendet werden.
    Notes: Summary A polarographic determination of Zinc can be successfully performed in 1 M sodium formate solution (pH 7.0) as supporting electrolyte using 0.005% of gelatin as maximum suppressor. Well defined waves are obtained for 1–6 mM of zinc and various anions do not cause any interference. The method is also suitable for the determination of zinc and mangenese in presence of each other.

    Description / Table of Contents: Summary Copper, cadmium and nickel have been estimated amperometrically in ammoniacal ammonium tartrate and potassium nitrate (pH ∼ 8.0–9.5) using methyldithiobiuret as the titrant. The advantage of the oxidation potential of the reagent have been put to a practical use in these determinations. Furthermore, by the combined use of the cathodic current of a reducible ion (Cu2+) and the anodic current of the reagent simultaneous determination of the two components of binary mixtures (e.g., copper-cadmium and copper-nickel) in a single operation has also been achieved. The process is rapid and yields reproducible results within the limits of experimental errors.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die Bestimmung wird in ammoniakalischer Ammoniumtartrat- und Kaliumnitratlösung (pH ∼ 8,0–9,5) durchgeführt. Dabei wird das Oxydationspotential des Reagenses ausgenutzt. Durch Messung des kathodischen Stromes des reduzierbaren Ions (Cu2+) und des anodischen Stromes des Reagenses konnten die Bestandteile binärer Mischungen (z.B. Cu/Cd, Cu/Ni) gleichzeitig bestimmt werden. Das Verfahren ist schnell und liefert gut reproduzierbare Ergebnisse.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Verteilung von Cadmium im System Natriumformiat-Pyridin wurde untersucht, wobei besonders der Einfluß des pH-Wertes, des Pyridinvolumens sowie der Formiatkonzentration geprüft und die Befolgung des Nernstschen Verteilungsgesetzes festgestellt wurde. Zur vollständigen Extraktion des Cadmiums ist ein Zweistufen-Verfahren erforderlich.
    Notes: Summary The distribution of cadmium in the sodium formate-pyridine system has been studied. The effect of pH, volume of pyridine and molarity of formate have been investigated and it has been found that the distribution obeys Nernst's law. A two-stage batch extraction procedure is necessary for the complete extraction of cadmium.
