Uranium imidosalts of the compositions K4[U(NH)4] and K2[U(NH)3] habe been prepared by interaction between UCl4 and excess KNH2 in liquid NH3: NaNH2 gives amorphous uranium diimide. Molten alkali metal amides react with UCl4 yielding U nitrides of varying compositions.
Notes:
Durch Reaktion von UCl4 mit überschüssigem KNH2 in flüssigem NH3 wurden Imidosalze der Zusammensetzung K4[U(NH)4] und K2[U(NH)3] hergestellt. Die Umsetzung mit NaNH2 führt zu dem röntgenamorphen Urandiimid. In geschmolzenen Alkaliamiden reagiert UCl4 zu Urannitriden wechselnder Zusammensetzung.
