Notes:
A gas phase isotope exchange reaction has been found to occur between nitric oxide and nitrite esters, RO15NO + 14NO = RO14NO + 15NO. The reaction is first order with respect to both nitrite ester and nitric oxide. For the reaction with trifluoroethyl nitrite, the second order rate constant is given by the equation \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ {\rm k} \approx {\rm 6} \times {\rm 10}^{{\rm 12}} \,{\rm e}^{{\rm - 23}\,{\rm 700/RT}} $$\end{document}, and for the reaction with ethyl nitrite \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$ {\rm k} \approx 3 \times {\rm 10}^{{\rm 11}} \,{\rm e}^{{\rm - 21}\,{\rm 400/RT}} $$\end{document}.
