Notes: [Auszug] Since workers in both our departments are interested in the biosynthesis of adrenaline, we have investigated by chromatographic and biological methods the amines present in the chromafnn bodies; of Scylliorhinus canicula and stellaris (in Bari),. Squalus acanthias and Mustelis canis (in Dundee) and ...

Notes: [Auszug] Chemically speaking, the specific product of the enterochromaffin cells was considered by histologists, at different times, as an o-dihydroxybenzene or a m-dihydroxybenzene derivative. Already in 1946, however, one of us1 had emphasized the probable indolic nature of the substance, on the basis of ...

Notes: [Auszug] So far, acetone extracts of the skin of Bufo bufo bufo, Discoglossus pictus, Rana esculenta, Hyla arberea, Salamandra maculosa and Triton cristatus have been examined. The parathyroid glands of Bufo were extracted separately from the remaining skin. After cleaning with petroleum ether and suitable ...

Notes: [Auszug] The fluorescent reaction may therefore be of value in tracing small quantities of 5-hydroxytryptamine in tissue extracts. The diazotized p-nitraniline reagent may also assist, since hydroxyindolealkyl-amines (for example, 5-hydroxytryptamine, bufotenine and bufotenidine) give an orange-brown colour ...

Notes: [Auszug] Pharmacological and chemical investigations (colour reactions) showed that octopamine was probably a monophenol derivative, with an amine group in the side-chain; thus the possibility of identifying it with N-methyltyramine was considered. The existence of octopamine in the salivary extracts of ...

Notes: [Auszug] The present communication represents a preliminary contribution to the comparative study of the actions developed, on some of the most important and significant biological reactives of enteramine, by a number of enteramine-related indole derivatives. The results obtained with indol- and ...

Hievon waren zwei sicher enteraminhaltig (Fleck III = Enteramin A; Fleck IX = Enteramin I). Drei andere enthalten wahrscheinlich enteraminähnliche Substanzen (Flecke I, II, IV).
